By Road:
Salmonfest is held at the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds in Ninilchik, south of Kenai and north of Homer on the Sterling Highway. It’s a beautiful drive from the Mat-Su Valley, Anchorage Bowl, Fairbanks or Valdez. Follow the Seward Highway to the Sterling Highway turnoff and continue along the Sterling through Cooper Landing, Soldotna and Kenai, to Ninilchik. The Fairgrounds is at Mile 136 on the east side of the Sterling Highway. Rental cars and other vehicles are available at Midnight Sun Car & Van rental in Anchorage just a few minutes from Ted Stevens International.
There are convenient shuttle options from Homer and Anchorage that run daily by the fairgrounds. Check the AK Bus Company’s website for scheduling and booking- https://www.alaskabuscompany.com/ After booking, please call 907-299-6806 to confirm drop off location.

By Air:
Flights are available from the Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage to Kenai or Homer. Check with Grant Aviation or Aleutian Airways for available flights.
