Right in the heart of the peninsula sits the historic, charming and picturesque village of Ninilchik. Home of the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds and the popular Kenai Peninsula Fair, Ninilchik has, for several years, hosted one of Alaska’s most dynamic weekends.
Salmonfest, widely considered to be the most compelling and exciting music, art, brew, and craft festival in the state takes place on August 4th through 6th 2017. Known for it’s comprehensive eclectic diversity and family friend atmosphere, thousands of people from all over the state and indeed the country make the excursion to Ninilchik for a magical and memorable weekend.

With Over 60 acts on four stages of music, the best brews, crafts and cuisine available in the state, this special Salmonfest weekend in August has quickly become a must for many individuals, couples, groups of friends and families who return year after year.

Top national acts headline each year including Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Trampled By Turtles, Leftover Salmon, Greensky Bluegrass, Brandi Carlile and many, many more.
