Cajun Country Revival

Cajun Country Revival

Performing on Friday, July 31st & Saturday, August 1st
The Cajun Country Revival is a super group of American roots music, playing traditional Cajun and country music and loving every second of it! Fronting the band is Joel Savoy, son of Cajun music royalty Marc and Ann Savoy. In performance he represents his culture with an authority that few people his age can and his playing leaves no doubt that Cajun music is still very much alive. Joel is part of a growing group of young folks in Southwest Louisiana dedicated to honoring, preserving and living the legacy that is Cajun culture. He's a Grammy winner and a nine-time Grammy nominee. Special guest Cedric Watson, one of the brightest young talents to emerge in Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music over the last decade. Cedric is a four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler, singer, accordionist and songwriter with seemingly unlimited potential.

Joining Joel and Cedric are two members of the old time powerhouse, The Foghorn Stringband, Sammy Lind and Nadine Landry, based out of Whitehorse, Yukon. Their solid rhythm on the guitar and upright bass provide the perfect foundation for a rocking time on the dance floor.

For the Cajun Country Revival, music is life. They love traveling around the world playing their music and meeting new people and they're eternally grateful for having been given the opportunity to make a living doing the best thing: making people so happy that they have to start dancing!
